Is this the server for you?

The honest FAQ about ZombieNationRevamped: a PvE zombie Rust server in the EU with nothing to buy. What it is, what it is not, and who it suits.

Short answers to what people ask before they join a PvE zombie server. If something here is wrong, tell us in Discord and we fix the page.

What kind of Rust server is this?

A PvE Rust server with zombies, hosted in the EU and built around events of our own: zombie hordes at every monument, helicopter, tank and raid fights you call in at the level you choose, armed convoys, raidable NPC bases and story quests. It runs on Carbon and shows up in the Modded tab. Gather rates are vanilla; the skill trees raise them as you level.

Can other players hurt me or raid my base?

No. Player damage, base damage and sleeper damage are off, and your boxes are private to your team. The one exception is wipe day: the last three hours before the monthly wipe are a free-for-all, and you can simply log off for them.

Is there anything to buy? Is it pay-to-win?

No shop, no VIP, no donor ranks. The in-game store (/s) sells vehicles, packs and air supplies for RP, a currency you earn by playing, finishing quests, winning events and voting for the server. Nobody can pay real money for an advantage, and that will not change.

When does it wipe, and what do I keep?

Once a month, on the first Thursday, with Rust's forced update (back around 20:00 Central European time). The map and your base start over; your XP, levels, skill trees, prestige and RP carry over. Blueprints are wiped. Details: Wipes.

What is the group limit?

8 players per team or clan. Solo players do fine too: every event scales with the number of people in it, and the monument hordes, convoys and guarded crates are shared with whoever turns up.

Where is it hosted? What ping should I expect?

In Austria, on a dedicated box we run ourselves. Players in central and western Europe see 10 to 40 ms; the UK and Scandinavia around 30 to 50 ms; the east coast of North America around 100 ms. The browser tag says EU.

How many players are on?

We are a new, small server, honest about it: the busiest hours are 21:00 to 23:00 Central European time, and Wednesday evenings are Convoy Night, when everyone online fights the same convoy. The live map shows who is on right now and where the events are, before you connect. Bring a friend and /refer pays you both.

How dangerous are the zombies?

More than you expect from Rust. Six types, from the fast Runner to the 650-health Brute, in hordes that grow while you fight them. Some bites infect you: you then have 20 minutes to find a cure before you start to turn, and if you die infected your body gets back up as the Risen. Full rules: Zombies and infection.

What do "events you call in" mean?

Three fights exist only on this server: Heli, Bradley and Raid From Hell. Throw an air supply signal (bought in the store, or found in high-tier loot and events), pick a level from Normal to From Hell, and the fight comes to your base when you say so. Each teammate who joins adds health and loot. Everything else (convoys, monument takeovers, guarded crates, raid bases) runs on its own for anyone to join.

I am new to Rust. Will I manage?

Yes. You spawn in the walled Town with a starter kit, a free reward waiting in /daily and eight starter quests that walk you through the basics, in any order, with Blood and XP for each. Nobody can kill you while you learn. /welcome opens the in-game guide at any time.

How do I join?
